Job Description

  1. Responsible for maintaining and interpreting financial reporting through accounting tools and software.
  2. Responsible for the day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, and financial reporting.
  3. Undertake reconciliations, accruals, periodic financial close, financial analysis, budgeting and reporting.
  4. Demonstrate strong performance at your level – appropriate understanding/working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them.
  5. Insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to clients to drive business results.
  6. Analyze data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed.
  7. Prepare financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested.

Leading or participating in certain month-end close and other periodic activities, ensuring that relevant deadlines are met.

  1. Proactively flag exceptions, if any, suggest improvements in internal controls and drive implementation of policies, under the guidance of the leadership team.
  2. Actively engage with the technology team in the Company in business integration projects.

Skills Required – Must Have’s

  • At Least 6+ years of experience performing accounting and analytics of mid-size enterprise(s).
  • Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Good grasp of tech-enabled accounting applications, data flow, and technology aptitude.
  • Experience in using one or more of the following accounting applications – QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, etc.
  • Self-starter with the ability to function well working across different time zones.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting remotely with other team members and clients.
  • Comfort and sensitivity in cross-cultural interactions with Clients and the leadership Team.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics.
  • Possess one or more professional certification(s) – CA, CFA, CWA(CMA), CPA etc.
  • Readiness to learn, coach and handhold team members on a need basis.
